About The Position

Praxis Precision Medicines is building a pipeline of Software Engineering talent to support the evolution of its eDiary and clinical data platforms. Engineers will initially contribute to and grow within the eDiary ecosystem, a regulated, patient-facing platform used across the company’s Epilepsy portfolio. The work spans modern web and mobile applications, secure clinical data platforms, cloud infrastructure, distributed system architectures, API design, auditability frameworks, identity and access control systems, and production observability. Applicants may be considered for current and future Software Engineer openings supporting the eDiary platform and adjacent clinical systems. The role designs, develops, deploys, operates, and maintains production software across frontend, backend, and data layers. It involves collaborating with technical and clinical stakeholders to deliver validated releases, resolving production issues, and ensuring reliability, scalability, security, data integrity, traceability, and regulatory compliance. The position may be performed remotely and requires flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience, with demonstrated ability to design, build, and operate production software systems end-to-end.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as code generation, automated testing, or debugging copilots, to improve engineering productivity and code quality, and ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability.
  • Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, API and interface design, relational data modeling and transactional integrity, and separation of concerns.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug complex issues across client, API, database, and infrastructure layers, and trace issues in distributed or asynchronous systems using logs, metrics, and instrumentation.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications in a cloud environment, including networking, access control, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Experience designing secure systems, including authentication and authorization flows.
  • Experience implementing production-grade monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, high-accountability environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
