About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking multiple Software Engineers (Associate/Experienced/Senior) to join the Mission Systems Software team in Daytona Beach, FL. The role involves designing and implementing new capabilities in the Operational Flight Program (OFP) for both the United States Air Force (USAF) and international customers. The candidate will be part of an Agile scrum team responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining a wide range of aircraft functionalities, specifically for the Advanced Display Core Processor II (ADCP II). Responsibilities include implementing and testing new capabilities and integrating them with aircraft subsystems. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 2+ years of experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Java, or Ada
  • 2+ years of experience developing, documenting, and maintaining architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems
  • U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required.

  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Agile/SAFe development experience
  • Experience with DevOps tools, such as GitLab (CI/CD), Git Bash, Gradle, Jira, Jenkins, and Artifactory
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels
  • Experience developing embedded real-time software
  • Experience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)

Responsibilities

  • Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
  • Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
  • Executes and documents software research and development projects
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
  • Troubleshoots software issues
