About The Position

The Development Platform organization at IMC Trading builds and maintains the tools, services, documentation, and support that accelerate engineering workflows. The team operates the infrastructure that enables agentic AI in production-critical systems, including AI agent environments, integrations with internal systems, and safety and security controls. The Software Engineer will build software for IMC’s AI-powered engineering workflows across agent harnesses, developer workspaces, context delivery, and tooling that connects AI agents to internal services. This collaborative role involves substantial ownership and direct engagement with engineers to understand needs, shape practical solutions, and carry work through design, implementation, delivery, rollout, and ongoing improvement. Prior experience building AI tooling is welcome but not required. The role is based in Chicago and involves collaborating with Development Platform colleagues globally to support adoption, gather feedback, and improve the developer experience. The position offers a base salary range of $175,000–$225,000 USD. Full-time, permanent positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including paid leave and insurance.
