About The Position

BN is seeking a Software Engineer to help develop innovative solutions for its platform. The role works in a collaborative, agile environment and uses modern technologies such as React and Node.js to build robust, scalable applications. The engineer will develop and maintain full-stack web applications, integrate with social platforms, and solve technical challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in full-stack web development.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript, REST APIs, and Single Page Applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC principles and writing maintainable, testable code.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and throughout employment without employer immigration sponsorship.
• Must currently live in Rochester, NY, or be willing to relocate there at their own expense before the start date.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Node.js and backend development.
• Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
• Experience with or willingness to learn AI development best practices, such as Vercel's AI SDK and Context Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack web applications.
• Build high-performance, scalable solutions using React and Node.js.
• Participate in daily standups and collaborate in an agile development environment.
• Analyze internal and customer needs and propose technology-driven solutions.
• Work with Senior Engineers to define feature specifications and architecture.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
