About The Position

LatchBio builds the benchmarks that test whether frontier AI can actually do computational biology. Pharma, biotech, and solution providers rely on benchmarks.bio to evaluate and improve their AI systems. The company has experienced significant growth, with revenue increasing 6x in the past 12 months, and has established partnerships with major companies. They are scaling rapidly in engineering to build infrastructure for their benchmarking pipeline, including data ingestion, eval design, grading systems, and infrastructure. Engineers will work with scientists and frontier models, shipping code quickly. Engineering products include an agent harness integrated with bio-first tooling, a distributed file-system, a cluster orchestrator, reactive Python-based notebooks, and a benchmarking harness with automated QC processes. This role involves working on problems such as agent infrastructure and systems, model benchmarking at scale, full-stack web development, developer and user experience, and process optimization. The engineer will be part of a small team with control over their direction and problem-solving. Responsibilities may include scaling and improving the internal benchmarking platform, planning and delivering features, and supporting customer requirements and computational tasks. There may also be opportunities to engage in research for agentic biology.
