Software Engineer

Gradial•Seattle, WA
•$130,000 - $220,000•Onsite

About The Position

Gradial is building an AI-native system of work for enterprise marketing. Its agents execute across existing enterprise tools, teams, and workflows, from content authoring and campaign assembly to quality assurance and brand compliance. The company is tackling applied AI challenges including agent harnesses, sandboxed execution environments, and orchestration that let agents plan, act, and verify their work reliably at enterprise scale. As a Software Engineer, you will work directly with the CPO to prototype, build, and launch new AI-powered products, initially focused on paid media integrations. You will develop scalable software for enterprise customers and help explore product opportunities, solve technical challenges, and build capabilities that shape Gradial’s product. The role calls for an engineer who can work through ambiguity, move quickly, and own work from concept through deployment.

Requirements

  • Exceptional technical ability and a demonstrated track record of building and shipping software, regardless of years of professional experience.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to design, develop, and deploy solutions across the stack.
  • Experience working with APIs, integrating external services, and building reliable connections between systems.
  • Ability to move quickly from an ambiguous technical problem to a working solution.
  • Resourcefulness and willingness to figure out engineering challenges independently.
  • High agency and ownership, with the ability to make technical decisions and execute without extensive direction.
  • Curiosity about AI and enthusiasm for building software that pushes the boundaries of what is possible.
  • Evidence of exceptional ability through projects, applications, or other software built.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with paid media technologies, advertising workflows, or marketing technology integrations.
  • Experience building applications with LLMs, AI agents, or other emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience building and launching software from the ground up through personal projects, startups, or professional work.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end development of new AI-powered applications and services, from early prototypes to production deployment.
  • Partner with the CPO to explore, prototype, and validate product opportunities, translating ideas into working software.
  • Design, build, and deploy integrations across paid media systems for enterprise customers.
  • Develop rapid prototypes to test technical approaches, gather feedback, and turn promising concepts into scalable solutions.
  • Drive technical decisions across the stack, balancing speed, reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and AI research teams to integrate emerging AI capabilities into production-ready applications.
  • Navigate complex APIs, external systems, and technical challenges to build reliable, high-quality integrations.
  • Take ownership of ambiguous engineering problems with minimal direction and deliver solutions quickly.
