About The Position

Microsoft Security is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions. The role focuses on building modular, secure, reliable, diagnosable, monitored, and reusable services and components. The engineer considers testability, portability, monitoring, reliability, and maintainability, and determines when code is ready to be shared and delivered. The position uses a data-driven approach to address customer and partner needs and troubleshoots and optimizes automation, reliability, and monitoring for LiveSite.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, with proven coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least 1 year of technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python; or a master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with proven coding experience in those languages; or equivalent experience.
• Experience shipping and operating services at scale.
