About The Position

Rapsodo is a global sports technology company that builds data-driven, portable sports analytics products. The Software Engineer will join the Rapsodo Operating System (ROS) team in St. Louis, Missouri, helping build, maintain, and improve systems and tools that support the company’s business operations. The work includes developing internal software, integrating third-party platforms, troubleshooting technical issues, and creating automation that makes operations simpler, faster, and more effective.

The engineer will collaborate with colleagues in St. Louis, Singapore, and Türkiye on shared systems and solutions for global operations. The role suits someone who enjoys investigating problems, learning quickly, taking initiative, and exploring ways technology—including AI—can improve how people work. Rapsodo values problem-solving, learning, and practical solutions alongside sound software engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Sound understanding of programming concepts, software development, databases, APIs, and system integration.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar, gained through professional work, academic projects, or personal initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and ability to learn and apply new technologies effectively.
• Strong problem-solving ability, including curiosity to investigate issues, understand root causes, and find practical solutions.
• Resourceful and proactive, with initiative to explore solutions independently.
• Strong learning agility and willingness to experiment, adapt, seek feedback, and develop new capabilities.
• Ability to understand business needs and consider how technology can improve processes and outcomes.
• Effective communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
• Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.

Nice To Haves

• Turkish language proficiency; it is an added advantage for working with colleagues in the Türkiye office but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal applications, systems, and tools that support Rapsodo’s business operations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable, sustainable solutions.
• Build integrations between internal applications and third-party business systems to improve connectivity and data flow.
• Design and implement automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues across St. Louis, Singapore, and Türkiye to understand business challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to support coding, troubleshooting, testing, and solution development while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and apply sound software engineering practices.
• Test, monitor, and continually improve system reliability, performance, security, and usability.
• Explore new technologies and challenge existing approaches to deliver simpler, smarter, and more scalable solutions.
