About The Position

Rapsodo is a global sports technology company that builds portable, data-driven sports analytics products used by athletes worldwide. The Software Engineer will join the Rapsodo Operating System (ROS) team in St. Louis, Missouri, helping build, maintain, and improve the systems and tools that support Rapsodo’s business operations. The work includes developing internal software, integrating third-party platforms, resolving technical issues, and creating automation solutions to make operations simpler, faster, and more effective.

The engineer will collaborate with colleagues in St. Louis, Singapore, and Türkiye on shared systems and business challenges. The role suits someone who enjoys investigating problems, learning quickly, taking initiative, and turning practical needs into technology solutions, including by exploring how AI can improve the way people work. The position emphasizes sound software engineering practices, continuous improvement, ownership, and effective collaboration across a globally distributed team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Sound understanding of programming concepts, software development, databases, APIs, and system integration.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, or similar, gained through professional work, academic projects, or personal initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to learn and apply new technologies effectively.
• Strong problem-solving ability, curiosity to investigate issues, understand root causes, and find practical solutions.
• Resourcefulness, proactivity, and initiative to explore solutions independently.
• Learning agility, including willingness to experiment, adapt, seek feedback, and continuously develop new capabilities.
• Ability to understand business needs and consider how technology can improve processes and outcomes.
• Effective English communication skills and ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
• Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.

Nice To Haves

• Turkish language proficiency is an added advantage for working with colleagues in the Türkiye office, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance internal applications, systems, and tools that support business operations.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable, sustainable solutions.
• Build integrations between internal applications and third-party business systems to improve connectivity and data flow.
• Design and implement automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with colleagues across St. Louis, Singapore, and Türkiye to understand business challenges, identify improvement opportunities, and translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, testing, and solution development while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using sound software engineering practices.
• Test, monitor, and continuously improve system reliability, performance, security, and usability.
• Explore new technologies and challenge existing ways of working to deliver simpler, smarter, and more scalable solutions.
