About The Position

This 2027 summer internship prepares students for entry into the business world by providing an understanding of Zebra Technologies and hands-on experience, training, social and development activities, and a professional mentor relationship. The intern will work on AI features, product convergence, and new product capabilities for Zebra Task Manager. The project includes extending AI-assisted authoring in Form Creator, such as generating draft templates from uploaded policies or SOPs and suggesting skip logic and validation rules. The intern will also build AI-generated summaries of completed store walks and violations, with recommended follow-up tasks for store and district managers. Work spans backend REST endpoints using Java 21 and Spring, and corresponding Angular screens, from design review through production-ready code. The role also involves implementing responsible-AI safeguards, including customer-level enable/disable controls, managed prompts, structured-output validation, service fallbacks, and a small evaluation set. The intern will contribute shared capabilities across forms, surveys, store walks, and offline walk products, and prototype an AI-enabled feature for a new platform product, including configuration of modules, permissions, menus, and pages. Quality work includes unit testing, delivery through the Jenkins/SonarQube CI pipeline, documentation, and a live end-of-summer presentation to product and engineering leadership. The position is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the Kennesaw, Georgia office. The stated pay range is $33.00–$40.50 per hour.
