About The Position

As a Software Engineer on Apple’s Watch Safety & Communications team, you will help deliver reliable, polished safety experiences for Apple Watch users. You will contribute to the development and quality of watchOS and iOS features focused on safety, including Crash Detection and Fall Detection. The role involves collaborating with Design, Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Engineering teams to shape products and human-computer interactions, build efficient solutions for small, low-power devices, and architect robust, maintainable systems. You will also coordinate with QA and automation teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability.
• Ability to learn and work across programming languages and technologies, including Objective-C, Swift, SwiftUI, Assembly, Python, C, and machine-learning technologies.
• A proven record of completing projects on time and to specification.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Enthusiasm for working on a cross-functional team.
• Upbeat, adaptable, helpful, and results-oriented approach.
• Experience contributing to at least one shipping application or framework.
• Operating systems knowledge and hands-on experience with inter-process communication.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and quality of watchOS and iOS safety features, including Crash Detection and Fall Detection.
