This position reports to: Project Operations Manager __ In this role, you will have the opportunity to maintain, develop and enhance the software components in the assigned Software Engineering function in one or more of platform and application management. Each day, you provide accurate project schedule estimates and ensure their successful completion within the deadline. You will also showcase your expertise by demonstrating good proficiency in software engineering in your area of competence. The work model for this role is: Onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science preferred).
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with software languages, (e.g., SQL, ASP.Net, HTML, C#).
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

  • UI/UX design experience preferred.
  • Analytical thinker with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform software engineering across development, quality, testing, DevOps, cybersecurity, release, support, and maintenance with limited supervision.
  • Gather customer requirements and independently contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from design and coding through release and operations.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications using well-architected, maintainable code, appropriate documentation, and proven design patterns.
  • Build and integrate AI/ML-powered solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve automation, analytics, scalability, and alignment with digital transformation initiatives.
