About The Position

Snowflake is seeking a Software Engineer for Snowpark Container Services, part of its Snowflake Compute Platform. The role focuses on building an elastic, high-scale, high-performance, cloud-native compute platform that makes bringing compute to data simple. Snowpark Container Services is a fully managed container offering that lets customers deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications without moving data out of Snowflake, with Snowflake security, configuration, and operational best practices built in. The engineer will join a fast-moving team working on a service that is in an early stage of development and offers an opportunity to contribute to Snowflake’s growth. The position involves designing and developing product features, working with customer requirements and business goals, and building reliable, fault-tolerant software for large customers. It also includes providing technical leadership by mentoring and guiding engineers and shaping direction for significant parts of the product. The engineer manages projects across design, coding, reviews, testing, observability, tooling, and on-call support, while ensuring service readiness, maintainability, reliability, availability, debuggability, and performance. The work includes designing and building Kubernetes-based, OCI-compliant container compute platform capabilities that can scale and evolve with customer and business needs. The role requires working on-site in Snowflake’s downtown Bellevue office.
