About The Position

VERSANT is seeking a Software Engineer to join its growing engineering team and help design and develop scalable, secure, user-centric applications for its next-generation platforms. The role involves delivering full-stack solutions, building microservices and modern front-end applications, and using SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms where appropriate. It is suited to someone who enjoys a startup-like environment and is eager to learn.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development knowledge in languages such as Java, Node.js, Python, or Go.
• Skills in modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Experience developing scalable, high-performing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues in distributed environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to GenAI tools, SaaS platforms, and low-code/no-code tools.
• Familiarity with serverless technologies and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Working knowledge of monitoring stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems or integrating with enterprise platforms.
• Awareness of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code.
• Background in the media or entertainment business domain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack solutions that solve business problems.
• Implement scalable, fault-tolerant microservices and modern front-end applications.
• Use SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms where appropriate to accelerate delivery.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Write secure, performant, and maintainable code.
• Work with product and architecture teams to align technical direction with business priorities.
