About The Position

Plasser American Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join or lead a team developing the next generation of software for the Ultrasonic Rail Inspection market. The role covers the full software development life cycle: understanding requirements, designing and implementing software, deploying it, and maintaining it. The engineer will work on a new product line as well as maintain and upgrade existing products.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of application development experience.
• Experience with .NET, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server and/or Git.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a structured team.
• Ability to follow directions, multitask, and work with a high sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design a new product line.
• Develop workflow plans and estimates.
• Maintain and upgrade the existing product line.
• Develop software from requirements.
• Perform new development and maintenance development.
