About The Position

Parsons is looking for a Mid-level Software Engineer with an enterprise software development background who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this position, you will be a member of a growing Agile team supporting the development of critical mission applications for the C2 AOC community as a member of Parsons’ Mission Software Directorate. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team. The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an engineering field with at least 5 years technical experience. Relevant experience may be accepted in place of a degree
  • Experience with common CM tools and best practices
  • Java application development experience, specifically microservice architectures
  • Experience using Docker containers for development and deployment
  • Experience with Kubernetes runtime environments based in AWS cloud environments
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment
  • Excellent communication skills, in both spoken and written English
  • Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment using the Scrum methodology
  • Security+ Certification

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise application or platform infrastructure software
  • Utilizing object-oriented analysis and design techniques
  • Developing Java applications, specifically microservice architectures
  • Using Docker containers for development and deployment
  • Working with Kubernetes runtime environments based in AWS cloud environments
  • Establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with team members
  • Learning new tools and concepts quickly
