Full-stack Software Engineer

Valius SciencesSan Francisco, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Valius is building the diagnostics and bioinformatics company to power the future of cancer care, focusing on deep, comprehensive assessments of DNA, RNA, and protein. The company has developed an approach to maximalist diagnostics, starting with challenging cancers. In its first year, Valius worked with over 75 patients, identifying plausible therapeutic targets not previously discovered. The company is on track to scale patient volume significantly and introduce new diagnostic modalities and analytical approaches into clinical care. Valius has raised a $13.5M seed round and is seeking passionate individuals to join its growing team. The software engineer role involves building the infrastructure and products that bring molecular insights to life, spanning full-stack development. This includes crafting AI-powered interfaces for exploring complex molecular data on the front end, and owning the infrastructure, pipelines, and tooling for internal and external applications on the back end. The role also involves processing and managing patient data in collaboration with the computational biologist team. The position offers significant ownership from day one, direct exposure to the founding team, and potential for engineering leadership growth. The role requires working out of the San Francisco office four days a week.
