About The Position

Everpure is seeking a Systems Software Engineer for its Core Engineering team. The role designs and scales critical distributed infrastructure for the Enterprise Data Cloud, handling large data volumes under rigorous latency constraints and supporting six-nines availability. The engineer partners with cross-functional engineering teams to take complex technical initiatives from design through production rollout, expanding the capabilities and resilience of the platform. The position is expected to work primarily from Everpure’s Santa Clara, California office, in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

Proficiency in modern, high-performance, concurrent C++, with attention to code clarity, maintainability, and testing discipline.
A solid foundation in distributed systems concepts, including consistency models, replication, and fault recovery.
Knowledge of Linux systems internals, including memory management, multithreading, and I/O performance.
Ability to analyze complex architectural problems and debug distributed anomalies across system layers.
Ability to make balanced technical trade-offs among performance, simplicity, and reliability.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to share knowledge and align with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and optimize mission-critical platform components involving distributed consensus, concurrency control, and fault-tolerant storage.
Drive core platform capabilities from technical design and prototyping through production rollout in collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Analyze and resolve complex issues involving resource scheduling, data durability, and hardware-software bottlenecks.
Participate in architectural discussions, conduct code reviews, and collaborate across teams to strengthen engineering practices and support continuous learning.
