About The Position

Global Technology Solutions (GTS) at ResMed is a division dedicated to creating innovative, scalable, and secure platforms and services for patients, providers, and people across ResMed. The primary goal of GTS is to accelerate well-being and growth by transforming the core, enabling patient, people, and partner outcomes, and building future-ready operations. The strategy of GTS focuses on aligning goals and promoting collaboration across all organizational areas. This includes fostering shared ownership, developing flexible platforms that can easily scale to meet global demands, and implementing global standards for key processes to ensure efficiency and consistency. The primary role of the Engineering function within the Product Development team is to create specifications and designs for new products or improvements and enhancements to existing products. Works closely with customers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand and define customer needs in these designs. Features are aligned to a timetable and areas of responsibility. Developers may solicit customers for feedback regarding product usability and desired future enhancements. Software Engineers who design, write, and test code for the product should be matched in either Software Engineering Applications or Systems. Product developers who specialize in hardware systems should be matched to Hardware Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering using Java/Spring Boot.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and operating applications in AWS, with a strong understanding of key AWS services and tools.
  • 2+ years of experience developing front-end applications using React or JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, SCIM, and JWT.
  • Experience integrating applications with identity providers such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Duo, Auth0, Ping Identity, Keycloak, or Amazon Cognito.
  • Understanding authentication, authorization, session management, and secure API design principles.
  • Experience with RBAC, ABAC, and PBAC.
  • Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Proficient in object-oriented programming, API design, and distributed system principles.
  • Proactive problem-solver with an ownership mentality, always looking for opportunities to optimize system performance and stability.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare or HME industry experience will be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Experience building or supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop highly scalable, performant, and resilient CIAM solutions built on industry-standard identity protocols including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM.
  • Demonstrate strong ownership of software components from design to deployment, ensuring system reliability and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain modern web and backend applications using React, JavaScript, Java, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Champion a quality-first approach by implementing unit tests, integration tests, automation frameworks, and robust end-to-end testing using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Identify codebase and system design gaps, setting and maintaining high-quality engineering standards through code, security, and design reviews.
  • Enhance product scalability and self-service capabilities, ensuring efficient onboarding and customer adoption.
  • Support hiring efforts, participating in interviews, and attracting top engineering talent.
