About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves participating in the design, implementation, and testing of firmware/software systems. You will collaborate closely with Hardware Engineers to understand hardware and software interactions, and be responsible for preparing and maintaining design and test documentation. Additionally, you will mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians, and adhere to SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Typically 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: Embedded systems firmware development including: Real-time firmware design, C and assembly languages
  • Typically 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: Graphical User Interface applications in Windows environments including: Object oriented design, Object oriented languages (C++, C#, Delphi, Java)
  • Typically 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: Embedded Linux systems development including: C, C++, Python, Other scripting languages
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and test of firmware/software systems.
