About The Position

Boeing is seeking a Software Engineer (Developer) to join the Experimental Systems Group Telemetry & Command Database team in Seal Beach, CA. This role is open to various experience levels, including Associate and Experienced Software Engineers. The ideal candidate will enjoy working closely with hardware and mission operations, prioritize data correctness and performance, and aim to become a domain expert in spacecraft/flight test telemetry and command systems. The team is responsible for the data backbone connecting spacecraft, flight-test systems, ground systems, laboratories, and mission operations. They develop telemetry and command databases that transform complex system interfaces into reliable data products, enabling engineers and operators to understand system performance, send correct commands, and make informed decisions during integration, testing, and operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work at the intersection of software, databases, hardware interfaces, and mission operations, contributing to how telemetry and command data is modeled, validated, accessed, distributed, and maintained across multiple environments. The selected candidate will collaborate with systems engineers, flight software developers, test engineers, database specialists, and operations teams to translate interface control documents and mission requirements into high-performance software and data solutions.
