About The Position

As an iOS Senior Software Engineer in the Customer Area team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining end-to-end mobile solutions that enhance customer trust and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-quality iOS applications, integrating them with backend services to deliver cohesive user experiences. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in iOS development to ensure applications are performant, reliable, and aligned with Walmart's business goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features efficiently while maintaining high standards in code quality, testing, and deployment. Customer Area Tech focuses on delivering world-class products, driving policy compliance, and building platforms that enhance customer trust. We implement Global Privacy Technology solutions, analyze customer data, and generate insights that improve retail experiences at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in iOS development using Swift/Objective-C.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, SwiftUI, and Core Data.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with backend systems.
  • Familiarity with mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture).
  • Experience with unit and UI testing frameworks (XCTest).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and mobile app deployment processes.
  • Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and memory management.
  • Familiarity with modular/mobile-first architectures is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop iOS applications using Swift and/or Objective-C, leveraging frameworks such as UIKit and SwiftUI.
  • Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance mobile user interfaces aligned with modern iOS design principles.
  • Integrate mobile applications with backend services via RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Ensure seamless data flow, security, and performance optimization across mobile and backend systems.
  • Write unit and UI tests using frameworks like XCTest to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
  • Stay current with emerging iOS technologies and best practices.
