About The Position

Motorola Solutions is hiring a Software Engineer for its Secure Products Group, which develops security solutions for Motorola Solutions devices and compatible customer devices. The role analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems. It contributes to the full product lifecycle through software development, hardware and software integration testing, and developing and validating feature functionality and user documentation. The engineer works with a team using industry-standard agile practices to plan, implement, and deliver products and services.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
1 to 2 years of relevant embedded system software development experience.
U.S. citizenship is required.
One or more of the following skills: C/C++, Linux (multiple variants), Windows development, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Java, Make, Bash, or network protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, and UDP.

Nice To Haves

Agile software development and/or Git/JIRA experience.
Mobile application and/or platform development, including Android and iOS.
Driver development.
Embedded programming.
Experience with SIP, RTP, and RTCP protocols.
Debugging experience and strong analytical skills.
Knowledge of security concepts such as authentication, access control, authorization, and cryptography.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of generative AI and large language models.
