About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with strong knowledge of RF design and SW integration. The role involves leading teams, ensuring organization, and adhering to standards such as DO-178C and DO160G (EMI). Experience with DO 254 (exposure only) is also relevant. The engineer will be responsible for SW Requirements Development, utilizing programming languages like C, C++, and Assembly. A key aspect of this role is experience in DAL A software development and conducting Code Reviews. Proficiency with software development tools, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines is essential, along with a solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles. The position requires experience with various application areas supporting Avionics functions, including Navigation and Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT). The engineer must be adept at managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Experience in preparing Planning Documentation & Cert Doc is also required. Experience working with Defense Customers is preferred. This role involves leading and organizing the RFIO SW Dev team and interfacing with the HW and FPGA teams. Flight test experience, including understanding wiring diagrams for aircraft and system inputs, is valuable. Familiarity with engineering tools such as montpa, x-scribe, and the ability to manage and develop other tools is expected, along with experience in Jira and Bitbucket, and an understanding of build processes and compiler settings.
