Software Engineer - Web Developer (TS Clearance CI Poly Eligible)
About The Position
North Point Technology is seeking a TS Cleared Software Engineer to support a critical mission. The program delivers cutting-edge intelligence and geospatial data management applications and services to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The Program’s focus is on meeting the current mission needs of our customer, but also pioneering future automation solutions for the NGA based on agency directives. We are developing innovative solutions for geospatial analysis and production capabilities that will revolutionize the way intelligence is distributed to stakeholders. In this role, you will be part of a software development Scrum team assisting with software requirements verification, software development and operational support.
Requirements
- Active TS clearance required; must be eligible for CI Polygraph. Applicants without an active TS clearance will not be considered.
- Experience and/or knowledge of SCRUM processes and System Requirements verification (such as Jira, Confluence)
- Frontend web development using modern techniques and frameworks (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks like LESS and SASS, Responsive Design, Bourbon, Twitter Bootstrap)
- JavaScript development using modern standards, including strict mode compliance, modularization techniques and tools, and frameworks and libraries (e.g., jQuery, MV frameworks such as Backbone.js and Ember.js, D3)
- Consuming RESTful APIs
- Using and working in team environments that use agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Lean)
- Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub
- Ensuring Section 508 Compliance
- Quickly researching and learning new programming tools and techniques
- Using and working with open-source solutions and community
- Creating web layouts from static images
- Creating views and templates in full-stack frameworks like Rails, Express, or Django
