About The Position

This role is for a high-caliber, hands-on Vice President with a proven history of delivery to lead the regional team in Dallas. The individual will be responsible for the design and implementation of next-generation, end-to-end systematic investment platforms whilst supporting the continued growth of the QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies) business. The successful candidate will oversee regional engineering operations in Dallas and serve as a key stakeholder within the QIS Global Engineering Leadership Team. As a Vice President in the QIS Engineering team, you will be working in a close-knit environment with Portfolio Managers, Research Analysts and Technologists to design and develop platforms that drive the QIS business, spanning new product capabilities, quantitative research, model generation, portfolio construction and monitoring. The role also provides an opportunity to participate in all phases of a project life cycle and work with extremely bright and motivated individuals, who focus on development and strive for continuous process improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
7+ years of software development experience.
Excellent object oriented or functional analysis and design skills.
Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data driven decisions.
Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team.
Can apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving and product development.
Expert knowledge in programming in a complied language such as java, or python and experience with concurrency and memory management.
Expert knowledge in databases both relational and NoSQL such as MongoDB, Single Store, Sybase ASE.

Knowledge or interest in trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization
Experience operating within the front-office of a trading organization
B.S. or M.S. computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

Design and implementation of next-generation, end-to-end systematic investment platforms.
Support the continued growth of the QIS (Quantitative Investment Strategies) business.
Oversee regional engineering operations in Dallas.
Serve as a key stakeholder within the QIS Global Engineering Leadership Team.
Design and develop platforms that drive the QIS business, spanning new product capabilities, quantitative research, model generation, portfolio construction and monitoring.
Participate in design, build out, and maintenance of distributed, multi-region, scalable and resilient platforms/systems used for day-to-day Portfolio Management and Construction.
Interact with other engineering teams to understand technology offerings and how they can be applied and leveraged as part of our solutions.
