About The Position

Develops and maintains requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance Command and Control (C2) software solutions. Leads software development activities in a scaled agile methodology utilizing a DevSecOps environment. Supports software development activities and integrates completed software components into a fully functional software system. Supports progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program or IPT leadership. Performs day-to-day activities in the areas of Product Owner or Technical Leadership, Architecture, Design, and Direction of software products. Supports IPT by implementing a structured approach to defining and meeting a development and integration schedule alongside a rigorously managed cost baseline. Works with database technologies including SQL and NoSQL. Uses messaging systems including Kafka and ActiveMQ. Uses data streaming technologies including CCSDS. Implements CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows.

Requirements

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited course in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with 14+ years of related work experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 18+ years of directly related work experience, OR 22+ years of related, relevant experience.
5+ years of experience with systems engineering or software development on space-based or ground-based systems.
3+ years of experience leading software development projects.
3+ years of experience with software development using Java, C++, or Python.
Experience with Flight Dynamics or Orbital Analysis, Satellite Management Systems, or Ground Control Management.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a Product Owner or Technical Lead.
Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms, and CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
Experience with formal acceptance testing (FQT, FAT, SAT) and active TS/SCI or DoD Top Secret clearance.
