About The Position

QCT Core Technologies is seeking talented engineers for the Power and Limits management software group. This highly visible role involves working in a dynamic environment, collaborating across multiple disciplines including system, power, software, and hardware engineering. Candidates will develop innovative architectures to meet the requirements of Qualcomm's expanding product portfolio and will gain exposure to the full product life cycle, from pre-silicon development to the commercialization of Qualcomm chipsets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years to 8 years of academic or industry experience in Computer Architecture (ARM architecture preferred)
  • Real Time Operating Systems
  • C/ASM programming
  • Debugging Real Time Embedded Systems using JTAG or equivalent
  • Compilers / Linkers
  • Python Scripting
  • Ability to read hardware programming guides and write drivers/software based on that information

Responsibilities

  • Own or participate in multiple aspects of software development, including analyzing requirements, designing robust software solutions, and ensuring power efficiency for current and next-generation chipsets across various SoC subsystems.
  • Perform detailed analysis of existing software to provide innovative recommendations for improving performance, memory, and power utilization, including software optimizations, SW/HW partitioning, and new algorithms.
  • Develop tools for silicon profiling, validation, and debugging across all SOC components.
  • Be involved in pre-silicon evaluations and sign-offs.
  • Scope opportunities for HW acceleration by providing recommendations to the HW team.
