As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's C/IB MIS DIGITAL organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. PNC is an in-office company that fosters a supportive culture where employees can thrive and achieve balance. This role involves providing detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms. The Software Engineer Sr will propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs, write code, test, and deploy software. They will also prepare technical and procedural documentation required for software and maintain and debug software. PNC Employees are expected to be Customer Focused, knowledgeable of values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations, and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. They are also expected to be adept at Managing Risk, assessing and effectively managing all risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure adherence to and support of PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • Actively hands-on with Java 8+
  • Experience with Spring Boot with other Spring Frameworks
  • Experience with MongoDB
  • Experience with Microservice application developments
  • Expertise in core Java, asynchronous and reactive programming
  • Good communication skills
  • University / college degree (Bachelor's)
  • 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
  • Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Write, test, and deploy software.
