About The Position

Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat. The selected software Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the GWS-IDT IPT. You will be responsible for software development execution and then will monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust for evolving conditions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or PhD and 1 year of experience.
Current DoD Secret Clearance
JavaFX GUI frontend development/C++ backend software development to read HW interfaces and present data to user in visual form
Frontend/backend connection via network communication
Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

Data Acquisition (DAQ) experience
HW/SW interfacing and embedded software development experience
