We are seeking a Software Developer – Subject Matter Expert (SME) to be the principal authority for enterprise software architecture, development standards, application modernization, and secure software delivery in complex environments. This role involves leading the design, development, testing, and enhancement of enterprise applications, while establishing architectural frameworks, best practices, and modernization strategies. The position combines strategic technical leadership with hands-on engineering expertise to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with enterprise objectives, zero-trust principles, and interoperability requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Expertise in modern programming languages, software design patterns, and application architectures.
- Strong knowledge of application security, secure coding practices, and software quality assurance.
- Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and establish enterprise development standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and modern application platforms.
- Experience addressing cross-domain or cross-enclave interoperability challenges.
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and secure enterprise application development.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, software architecture, Agile, cybersecurity, or DevSecOps.
