Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer (Site Reliability Engineering) (multiple positions) in Irving, TX.

Requirements

  • Requires a Master's degree in Engineering Management, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering, and 3 years in a Software Developer, or related, occupation.
  • Must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: Containerize and deploy applications using Kubernetes and Docker; CloudWatch, Elasticsearch, and Splunk; Configure and deploy RedHat Linux servers; Support Azure DevOps with IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS platforms; Install and monitor Gradle, Kibana, Maven, Kafka, Cassandra, and ServiceNow servers; Virtual Machines, App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); Create and maintain Configmaps, Secrets, Certificate manager, Ingress, and Cron Jobs using Kubernetes Clusters and Namespaces; Helm charts, Python, Bash scripting, Terraform, Airflow, and Ansible; and, Build data pipelines and analytics solutions using Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Data Factory.

Responsibilities

  • Improve software development infrastructure and systems through monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
  • Guide technical direction and collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth software deployment and operation of systems.
  • Guide cross-functional efforts to build scalable data pipeline processing to ensure smooth run of software applications.
  • Design and implement development infrastructures on major cloud service providers.
  • Implement continuous integration and deployment strategies for consumer teams and resolve operational issues.
  • Onboard and support API applications for end-to-end deployment processes.
  • Create and maintain automation scripts for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
