At Regions, the Software Engineer Senior Manager manages two or more large departments within the company and oversees strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and is operational, stable, and at an appropriate level of technical maturity. Primary Responsibilities Manages all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within area of responsibility Serves as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization in developing technology solutions that increase the efficiency of internal business functions, resolves business problems, and supports the pursuit of business opportunities for area of responsibility Creates and refines operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance Applies interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions Evaluates customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all interfaces Supports the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. This position is incentive eligible. Will lead a group of engineers spanning multiple technologies, platforms, and functions supporting Debit, ATM, Account Solutions (collections, recovery, bankruptcy, charge-off, deceased), and Unsecured Lending (credit card and loans) originations and servicing. Candidates should have experience working within, and leading distributed, mainframe, and cloud platform teams and functions spanning everything from application development through platform and application support. Familiarity with CACS, ACAPS, ACLS, Connex, PaymentsOne, and Data Navigator will be keys to success. Selected candidate will serve as part of senior leader team and should be comfortable communicating and influencing at all levels of the organization. Position requires the candidate to be entrepreneurial, seeking the ability to lead autonomously with vision and purpose. You must be engaged, lead with passion, inspire growth in others, and contribute to the culture of a high performing organization. As such, executive bearing and focus on personal growth is required. This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time.
