About The Position

DPG Solutions is looking for a mid to senior level Software Engineer / Scrum Master who can support operational software development, integration, troubleshooting, and delivery while helping keep the team organized and moving in a structured Agile environment. This role is a good fit for someone who is still technically strong, understands complex software systems in operations, and can also help drive sprint execution, remove blockers, and keep priorities aligned across engineering, testing, and program stakeholders. The ideal candidate will support the maintenance and enhancement of real time software applications, help troubleshoot operational issues, integrate and verify new software baselines, and contribute to the team’s overall delivery rhythm. This person should be comfortable working in a configuration controlled mission environment and able to balance hands on software engineering with Scrum Master responsibilities such as sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and coordination across the technical team.

Requirements

  • Experience coding software in Java or C++
  • Experience with software development, software integration, and/or operational software support
  • Ability to communicate technical issues, risks, blockers, and progress clearly across engineering and program teams
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI with polygraph U.S. government issued clearance is required before the start date
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a Scrum Master, Agile team lead, software lead, or technical coordinator in a software development environment
  • Experience supporting real time software applications on an Operations and Maintenance contract
  • Experience working in a structured configuration controlled environment
  • Experience with software configuration management systems such as Git or Bitbucket
  • Linux/Unix, Git, and SQL experience
  • JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence experience desired
  • Experience coordinating software baselines, releases, defect tracking, sprint execution, and integration activities
  • Ability to balance hands on technical work with Agile leadership and team coordination
  • Experience supporting mission critical systems, classified environments, or operational software baselines

Responsibilities

  • Support troubleshooting, maintenance, and documentation of software applications
  • Troubleshoot and isolate sources of system errors, software defects, integration issues, or unexpected system performance
  • Perform testing, integration, verification, and delivery of new software baselines
  • Perform in depth analysis and assessment with an end to end perspective of a complex operational system
  • Serve as Scrum Master for a software development or software integration team, helping facilitate Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Work with product owners, technical leads, developers, testers, and program stakeholders to track priorities, remove blockers, and support delivery commitments
  • Support software development, software integration, and operational sustainment in a structured configuration controlled environment
