Software Engineer, SCADA

FluidstackAustin, TX
$269,000 - $317,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive amounts of compute infrastructure for AI faster than anyone else. We are rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to operating data centers, with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. We are looking for individuals who care deeply about this problem space and want to be part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. The company culture emphasizes extreme ownership, full autonomy, velocity, first principles thinking, and a passion for the problem space, often involving long hours at high intensity.

Requirements

  • Built software against SCADA, EPMS, or industrial control systems.
  • Integrated OPC UA, historians, or alarm systems into modern stacks.
  • Understand and respect the control boundary: read paths and write paths engineered differently.
  • Turned a per-site manual setup into a templated deployment.
  • Write production code and test against systems you can't break.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Ignition, Wonderware, or GE platforms.
  • Experience with IEC 61850 or power protocols.
  • Experience with Python or C#.
  • Knowledge of data center electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build the software side of the SCADA stack: services, integrations, and interfaces on top of site control systems.
  • Ship integrations between SCADA and EPMS platforms and the company's data and automation layers.
  • Own the historians and event flows: alarms, trends, and states made usable beyond the control room.
  • Build tooling that makes SCADA deployments repeatable across sites.

Benefits

  • Commitment to pay equity and transparency.
