About The Position

Seeking a controls engineer with experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) for a role in the Plainwell, MI area. This position involves PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming, industrial control system integration, networking, and data collection. Responsibilities include systems analysis, design, troubleshooting, and development of controls system architecture. The role also requires creating panel designs & BOMs, program testing, and hardware & software implementation at customer sites. The engineer will handle all aspects of electrical design, programming, and implementation, from conceptual design to commissioning and documentation. This includes functional specifications, materials specification (electrical/pneumatic), materials requisition, CAD design, software design, software implementation, system commissioning, customer relations, as-built documentation, and managing work change orders. The role also involves integrating new control systems and retrofitting existing ones. Some travel to job sites for engineering and system commissioning is required.

Requirements

  • Experience with SCADA
  • Proficiency in programming Allen-Bradley’s, MicroLogix, RSLogix 5000, Factory Talk Suite, HMI, SCADA, Wonderware AVEVA
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent Troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Able to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities
