About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer specializing in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Automation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying RPA bots and automation workflows to streamline operational and revenue cycle processes. You will also integrate these solutions with existing systems, optimize processes in collaboration with business teams, and provide ongoing support and monitoring for production automations. Ensuring adherence to security, governance, and compliance standards, including HIPAA, will be a key aspect of this position. The goal is to create reliable, scalable, and auditable automations that reduce cycle times, minimize operational overhead, and build trust in automation as a core execution layer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or Automation Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate Desktop, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar).
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language (C#, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with APIs, JSON, REST services, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and deployment pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building automations in healthcare, revenue cycle management, or regulated industries.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform, cloud automation, or hybrid RPA/API designs.
  • Experience supporting production automations with SLAs and monitoring.
  • Understanding of secure credential storage, secrets management, and role-based access.
  • Ability to explain technical automation concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy RPA bots and automation workflows to support operational and revenue cycle processes (e.g., insurance verification, order processing, task closure, non-billable order handling).
  • Build maintainable, resilient automations that interact with web applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.
  • Implement error handling, logging, alerting, and retry mechanisms to ensure automation reliability.
  • Integrate RPA solutions with internal platforms, third-party vendors, and downstream systems using APIs, services, and automation triggers.
  • Collaborate with platform teams using tools such as Power Automate, cloud flows, and bot orchestration frameworks, where applicable.
  • Partner with business, operations, and clinical-adjacent teams to identify automation opportunities and redesign manual processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Translate business process requirements into technical automation designs.
  • Monitor production automations, investigate failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Enhance existing bots to accommodate system changes, rule updates, or new compliance requirements.
  • Ensure automations align with HIPAA, security, and internal governance standards.
  • Follow best practices for credential management, access controls, auditability, and change management.
