About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Robotics to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the development and integration of our Poseidon robots, contributing to both current and future deployments. You will write software that interfaces directly with hardware to enhance robot behavior, ensure user safety, and optimize system efficiency. Additionally, you will design and implement automated testing and diagnostic frameworks for robotic components to guarantee reliable operation across field, manufacturing, and R&D environments. Your responsibilities will include analyzing metrics, investigating field failures, and developing highly reliable, maintainable, and testable code. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver a robust robotic system.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Experience owning a project in C++ or Python from development to production.
• Desire to learn new technologies and to apply them to solve real-world challenges.
• Ability to break down complex technical concepts and communicate them clearly to different audiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support motor and sensor selection, development, and integration efforts on our Poseidon robots.
• Write software to interface directly with hardware that improves robot behavior, user safety, and system efficiency.
• Design and implement automated testing and diagnostic frameworks for robotic components.
• Analyze metrics and investigate failure modes observed in the field or at our in-house test room.
• Develop highly reliable, maintainable, and testable code.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team spanning mechanical, electrical, field, and software to deliver a robust robotic system.
