About The Position

Mercury is seeking backend and full-stack engineers to join their growing product engineering group. The team is focused on creating a delightful banking experience for startups, aiming to replace frustrating legacy industry tools with lovable products. Engineers will work in an autonomous, close-knit team environment with a "startup within a startup" feel, partnering with designers and product leaders to ship innovative fintech software. The role involves a strong sense of product ownership and the opportunity to shape Mercury's future.

Requirements

1-4 years of backend or full-stack development experience.
Knowledge of or excitement to learn Haskell, React, TypeScript, and Redux.
Passionately product-minded and experience building and shipping new products.
Empathy for users and ability to channel their perspective to build lovable products.
Ability to balance tradeoffs and find creative solutions to accomplish goals.
Actively incorporates AI tools into their workflow and is excited about leveraging them to amplify their impact.
Communicates and collaborates effectively with peers and cross-functional counterparts.
