As a Software Engineer Principal within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. Serve as the primary technical owner of the web platform implementation supporting enterprise digital properties. Design and develop scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions across CMS, hosting, and delivery layers. Ensure platform capabilities support high-quality content delivery, personalization, and user experience. Implement personalization strategies (targeting, segmentation, dynamic content delivery). Partner with UX/design teams to translate designs into high-fidelity, performant implementations. Continuously improve page speed, responsiveness, and engagement outcomes. Enable efficient content authoring, publishing, and workflow capabilities within the platform. Ensure content delivery supports multi-channel and multilingual needs. Integrate and optimize personalization engines, data layers, and targeting logic. Establish and follow best practices for component-based architecture, API integrations, and performance optimization. Lead adoption of modern development patterns (e.g., headless, microservices where applicable). Optimize how code moves from development, to pipeline, and to production. Contribute to improvements in build pipelines, deployment automation, and release processes. Drive front-end and platform-level performance tuning. Support integration with security controls, to support scanning, monitoring, and access control. Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
