About The Position
PNC is hiring a Principal Software Engineer within its Data and Automation organization, based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or Dallas, Texas. The role aligns business strategy with software solutions and proposes, designs, and codes solutions for complex business needs. It also oversees technical and procedural documentation, leads complex problem solving, and provides technical guidance and support to colleagues and solution development. The successful candidate will have experience with AWS services including SageMaker, Bedrock, EMR, Lake Formation, and DataZone, along with extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and familiarity with AWS CDK or Terraform. The role applies modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities. PNC describes this as an in-office role and will not provide employment visa sponsorship or participate in STEM OPT for this position. PNC expects employees to prioritize customer needs and satisfaction in business decisions, and to assess and manage risks in accordance with PNC’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. The position typically requires a university or college degree and 5+ years of industry-relevant experience; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, EMR, Lake Formation, and DataZone.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
- Familiarity with AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Typically, a university or college degree and 5+ years of industry-relevant experience; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Bachelor's degree listed as the education requirement.
- Must be able to work in the United States without employer-provided visa sponsorship; PNC will not participate in STEM OPT for this position.
