Software Engineer Principal-Model Platform Support-Python/Slurm/Spark
About The Position
PNC is hiring a Software Engineer Senior within its Technology organization, based in Birmingham, Alabama; Dallas, Texas; Cleveland, Ohio; or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on aligning business strategy with software solutions and proposing, designing, and coding solutions for complex business needs. It also involves technical and procedural documentation, complex problem solving, and providing technical guidance to colleagues and solution development. The preferred candidate has experience in data movement, the software development lifecycle, and maintaining separation between QA and production environments. Hands-on expertise with Python, Slurm, Spark, Linux, and server infrastructure is sought, along with an interest in or preference for architecture-related work. The role includes mentoring an offshore team of three resources; leadership experience and a background in application or platform support are strongly preferred. The position is in-office. The role is incentive eligible, with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Typically, 5 or more years of industry-relevant experience.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities appropriate to the role.
