While primarily an in-office role, Perpay offers sensible flexibility for personal needs and coordinates official remote weeks around major holidays. This is a "Super Day Hiring Event" specific posting, an accelerated hiring event for recent graduates to land the role in one day, held on November 12th at Perpay HQ. Selected candidates will tour the office, meet the team, and experience a fast-tracked interview process. Attendance is invite-only, and applicants must complete pre-work steps to be considered. The application deadline is November 2nd. This role is for motivated graduates (or those with equivalent experience) to join the Software Engineering team, contributing to the codebase, testing and releasing features, and collaborating with product, design, data science, analytics, and operations teams. The ideal candidate has software development internship experience and is enthusiastic about learning and growing within a mission-driven startup. The team organizes events and social gatherings to foster a fun and engaging work environment. Much of the team is full-stack, and new members are encouraged to learn new technologies and work across all stacks. The tech stack includes JavaScript, React, React Native, Redux, Python, Django, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and more. Perpay emphasizes that its greatest strength is its people and encourages interested candidates to apply even if they don't meet every qualification.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher, or a recent graduate studying Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 1 to 2 previous Software Engineering internships with a focus on full-stack software development
• Experience with at least one backend application framework such as Django or Flask
• Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration
• Experience with Python or another dynamically typed language
• A strong focus on writing and deploying clear, readable, testable code
• Ability to pick up new technologies quickly, with software engineering fundamentals being valued more than familiarity with specific tools or languages
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and seek feedback from team members
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and release features for our customer-facing and internal platforms alongside the engineering team
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop efficient and user-friendly solutions to support the complex needs of our business
• Actively participate in design reviews, code reviews, and discussions to improve our software architecture and implement efficient processes within our engineering team
