Fluidstack•New York, NY
•$224,000 - $300,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking a Software Engineer focused on Manufacturing & Supply Chain to help build civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. The company is singularly focused on delivering gigawatts of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. This role involves automating the delivery of gigawatts by turning processes into software, working alongside experts in quality, sourcing, and deployment to integrate their judgment into systems. The team aims to deliver every supercomputer faster than the last by leveraging a live knowledge graph to incorporate lessons learned across projects. The company operates with a philosophy of full autonomy, insane urgency, reasoning from first principles, and a passion for solving critical problems.

Requirements

  • Shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript, and ability to pick up other languages as needed.
  • Built production features on LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks.
  • Implemented document extraction into production against messy real inputs.
  • Daily use of AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
  • Ability to identify problems, design solutions, and ship them without waiting for direction or approval.
  • Experience moving fast under deadline while leaving robust data models and foundations for other engineers.
  • Proven ability to earn credibility with operators in factories, warehouses, or procurement, and drive software adoption within their real deadlines.
  • Demonstrated product taste, creating interfaces that are obvious to floor staff and workflows that match actual work processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MES, ERP, WMS, or TMS systems.
  • Familiarity with BOM lineage, engineering change control, and serialized component traceability.
  • Knowledge of supplier quality processes (NCRs, CAPA, FAI).
  • Experience with three-way match and receiving reconciliation.
  • Experience with LLM extraction over vendor documents.
  • Experience in high-volume hardware supply chains.

Responsibilities

  • Turn the bill of materials into the order book, ensuring price and lead time are captured for each line, projects are locked against buildings, and purchase orders derive from a single source of truth.
  • Make procurement tracking trustworthy by implementing code that runs against live vendor emails, documents, and purchase orders to identify status, critical paths, and potential issues.
  • Close the loop from receiving to payment by ensuring every delivery matches a purchase order line, warehouse bins track serial numbers, cycle counts are accurate, and finance performs three-way matches.
  • Ship manufacturing as software before the factory opens, managing bills of materials, engineering change notices, and drawing trees within a single model, generating inspection and test plans, and handling nonconformances.
  • Embed with sourcing leads, quality managers, factory operators, and warehouse teams to translate their judgment into systems that manage order schedules, cash demand, and payment schedules.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (cash + equity)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Retirement plan
  • Generous PTO policy
