About The Position

Design, develop, test, and support healthcare integrations using the Rhapsody Integration Engine. The role builds interfaces between applications using healthcare standards and technologies including HL7, FHIR, APIs, X12, XML, JSON, databases, and file-based integrations. It involves JavaScript transformation logic and connectivity options such as APIs, SFTP, and databases.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with the Rhapsody Integration Engine.
• Strong knowledge of HL7 v2.x and FHIR.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Knowledge of X12 transactions, such as 278, 834, and 837.
• JavaScript development within Rhapsody.
• Database skills in SQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with SFTP and file-based integrations.
• Debugging and production support experience.
• Mandatory skill: IBM Rational Rhapsody.
• 3–5 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare domain experience.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and API security.
• Understanding of integration architecture and interface engine patterns.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interfaces using the Rhapsody Integration Engine.
• Design message routing, transformation, and validation workflows.
• Build integrations using HL7 v2, FHIR, JSON, XML, X12, and REST APIs.
• Configure API/REST, SFTP/file, and database (JDBC) communication points.
• Create JavaScript filters and transformation logic within Rhapsody.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor interfaces.
• Work with healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, and X12.
• Prepare technical design documents and deployment guides.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and client teams.
