About The Position

With millions of wallets created and a global audience, Bitcoin.com is one of the world's leading crypto content and onboarding platforms. We're now starting something new, from a blank repo in Rust, and we're early enough that the architecture is still being decided. Join us in bringing crypto to the next billion users. This is a fully remote position based in Europe.

Requirements

2 years (or more) of professional experience.
Strong Rust, Go, Java or Kotlin; production Rust a plus
You design REST APIs others build on. Clear contracts, sensible versioning
AWS or equivalent, containers, CI/CD
Fluent with AI coding tools like Claude Code, with the judgment to know when the output can't be trusted
Blockchain fundamentals: ERC20, RPC nodes, UTXO vs account models
Clear written and verbal English, and a self-driven work style
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

Payment rails (SEPA, SWIFT, ACH) or card issuing
Regulated fintech: PSD2, KYC/AML, PCI DSS
Crypto custody, on-chain settlement, stablecoin flows
Monitoring and analytics tools (Sentry, New Relic)

Responsibilities

Design and build the services behind the product: APIs, data models, integrations
Own what you ship, from first commit to running it in production
Work with Product and Design to turn requirements into something that holds up under load
Write code others can maintain, with tests and instrumentation as part of the work
Take part in code reviews and help set the architecture and standards while they're still being decided
