About The Position

ZipStaff is seeking a Software Engineer 3 (Java Developer) to build enterprise mining software for a global industrial / heavy-equipment technology organization. You will develop commercial product features inside a high-performing Scrum team — Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices. This is a mid-to-senior hands-on engineering seat, not an internship or junior coding role.

Requirements

5+ years of commercial Java software development (internships do not count).
Strong hands-on Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Proven experience with REST APIs and event-driven systems.
Experience with microservices and distributed architecture.
Commercial use of build, test, and dependency-management tools.
Modern database design and technologies.
Understanding of single- vs multi-threaded application requirements.
Experience delivering product functionality on a Scrum team.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on-site in Irving, TX.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Design and develop software for enterprise mining / industrial product platforms.
Build services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations.
Work in microservices and distributed architecture.
Use modern build, test, and dependency-management tooling.
Design and work with modern databases.
Write correct code for single- and multi-threaded environments.
Participate in Scrum delivery, design discussions, and planning.
Apply modern security principles in application development.
Deliver production-quality features and take/give feedback within the team.
