About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer IV to support advanced engineering and scientific initiatives in a dynamic government-focused environment. This role involves leading the design, development, and enhancement of complex systems and tools while providing technical leadership, analysis, and strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with extensive technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience working closely with government stakeholders. This position is designed to be flexible, with responsibilities evolving to meet business needs and enable individual growth.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. Candidates may start with an active Public Trust clearance or higher, provided they are eligible to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree and 8 years of relevant experience: OR 12 years of relevant experience

- Practical experience and proficiency in software development using the Scrum framework

- Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD) Developers as appropriate
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, specification, and development of systems and tools for new and existing programs
- Develop enhancements, modifications, and corrections to complex systems and applications
- Exercise independent judgment and creativity to solve highly complex technical problems
- Conduct in-depth studies and analyses, including developing methodologies, identifying key parameters, and validating results
- Maintain broad knowledge of engineering principles, computer programming languages, techniques, and industry best practices
- Collaborate closely with government customers and stakeholders
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, briefings, papers, and related documentation
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members
- Lead projects and direct the work of technical staff as needed
