About The Position

Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation is a provider of intelligent material handling systems, including conveyor and sortation systems, order fulfillment equipment, warehouse controls and execution software, robotics, automated storage and retrieval systems, mezzanines, structures, and related service and support. The Software Engineer IV builds high-quality custom software solutions in accordance with coding standards and technical designs. This role works autonomously on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring current technical or industry knowledge and may provide consultation on complex projects or leadership to a work group. At least eight years of software development experience is required; material handling industry experience is described as ideal. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Some travel is expected, up to 15%.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience designing and developing software applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Proficiency in C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework for .NET work; Java and the JDK Framework for Java work; or the listed C#/.NET technologies for JavaScript-focused work.
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming and troubleshooting/debugging software applications.
• Experience with relevant listed technologies, which may include Windows Services, Entity Framework, SQL, LINQ, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, TCP/IP, Java Messaging Service, Java Servlet, ASP.NET MVC, reactive JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, AJAX, .NET Core, WCF/Web API, and WPF.
• Experience with relevant development tools, which may include Visual Studio, Eclipse, TFS, StarTeam, Azure/DevOps, Git, source control and bug tracking tools, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, Oracle SQL Developer, Visio, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience designing and developing web-based systems and client/server applications.
• Experience with software development lifecycle methodology.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software applications.
• Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
• Work autonomously on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state-of-the-art technical or industry knowledge.
• Provide consultation on complex projects, as needed.
• May provide a leadership role for a work group through expertise in the area of specialization.
• Travel as needed, up to 15%.
