About The Position

The JM Family College Internship Program provides college students with meaningful work experiences connected to their programs of study. Interns contribute to their teams, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture, and develop new skills through learning opportunities and networking events. The Software Engineer Intern gains hands-on exposure to software engineering in an enterprise IT environment, building practical experience while learning how technology teams collaborate to deliver solutions that support business needs. The internship runs from May 24, 2027, through July 30, 2027, and the ideal candidate is available to work full-time during the program. Work arrangements may be flexible depending on business needs and may be revised based on associate performance, business need, and manager discretion.

Requirements

• Be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university, focused on a relevant field; candidates in related fields will also be considered.
• Have completed at least one semester of coursework.
• Be available to work full-time during the Summer Internship Program (May 24, 2027–July 30, 2027) is ideal.

Nice To Haves

• Areas of study may include AI Engineering, Information Technology within a College of Engineering, IT Security, or a related field.
• Relevant completed coursework may include classes related to the role or similar.

Responsibilities

• Learn about SET IT processes, practices, and software engineering delivery.
• Apply software engineering concepts while contributing to active SET initiatives and projects.
• Support the team with assigned development and technology-related activities.
• Collaborate with team members while gaining exposure to real-world IT projects and delivery.
• Develop practical knowledge of how software engineering supports team and organizational objectives.
